WCVB: Free clinics offer whole-person health treatments in Boston

BOSTON —

On Tuesday, Mass General Brigham hosted the first of three pop-up clinics offering a chance to slow down and relax -- for free!

The offering is part of the Center for Comprehensive Healing at MGB, funded last year by the Shah Foundation.

The goal is to provide a low-barrier access to a range of healing options , including Reiki, acupuncture and sound healing.

"This is an opportunity to have both an experience and then to understand in what ways does this work for me and where do I then get this?" said Dr. Darshan Mehta. "In a hospital, we're able to create such an easy healing space. How do we make this more of a reality in our healthcare settings?"

Anyone interested in taking advantage of the clinics can walk in without an appointment.

The next session is set for Tuesday, Oct. 21, on the main campus at MGH.
